01 / Who we are

Born from tradition.
Built for the world.

Beat Drummers is a 24-member percussion ensemble
founded in 2008 by Sachintha De Silva, carrying the
energy and identity of Sri Lankan drumming onto local
and international stages.

The ensemble combines indigenous rhythm, acoustic
percussion and contemporary performance language—
keeping cultural roots at the centre while continuously
experimenting with sound, movement and stagecraft.
